System change consultant Jane is the Growthlines founder, as well as:
a KEA World Class New Zealand Awards winner (2021)
a Westpac Women of Influence Awards finalist (2020)
one of the 50 Most Talented Green Leaders, World Corporate Social Responsibility Day (2015).
Jane brings her international experience of market transformation and sustainable business to government and corporate clients, both in her homeland of New Zealand and abroad.
Her current focus is unlocking the opportunity for offsite manufactured houses to play a larger role in addressing the affordability and quality challenges in New Zealand’s housing crisis.
Jane has a proven track record in driving public-private partnerships to unlock social, environmental and economic opportunities.
As Global Operations Manager of Green Building for the World Bank’s private sector arm - the International Finance Corporation (IFC) - she managed a USD$21 million advisory portfolio, supporting over $1 billion in investments across seven developing countries. The work led to annual energy use savings of USD$39 million in Vietnam and USD$22 million in Indonesia alone.
And as CEO of the World Green Building Council (World GBC) for five years, she drove membership from 30 countries to 100, representing over 35,000 companies internationally.
Her work over three United Nations Framework Conventions on Climate Change (UNFCCC) led to the ratification of an international Build Sector Alliance. This meant the building sector was represented in the complex negotiation process and eventual obligations in reducing global carbon emissions.
Prior to working abroad, Jane was the founding CEO of the New Zealand Green Building Council. She introduced standards-based best practice to drive sustainability into the building and construction sector in New Zealand.
